Nurses, Doctors, Clergy and other COVID frontline caregivers are RISKING THEIR LIVES TO HELP OTHERS. EVERY DAY. They are doing so with limited resources for helping critically ill patients, limited personal protection, and a national policy response that puts them and everyone at risk of serious illness and even death. As grateful human beings, and believers in facts and science, WE HAVE A MORAL OBLIGATION TO GIVE BACK TO FRONTLINE CAREGIVERS.
The toll of caring for patients with the deadly novel coronavirus has left many nurses, doctors and others suffering burnout, compassion fatigue, and PTSD. This limits their ability to respond to their COVID patients and puts our national crisis response at risk. What's worse, many healthcare professionals and religious leaders commonly de-prioritize self-care in the management of occupational stress. IT'S TIME TO STEP UP AND HELP OUR CAREGIVERS HELP THEMSELVES.
Our respite program is for professionals serving critical roles in caring for persons directly affected by COVID-19. Our program includes a temporary break from the stressful workplace, Psychological First Aid (PFA), mindfulness/meditation, and creative expression. Our program is facilitated by professionals and takes place on our farm. IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW NEEDS RESPITE, PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION.
Your contribution will support frontline caregivers by off-setting the costs associated with the professional care they need and deserve. This includes licensed counselors, ecotherapists and other experts, yoga instructors, and spiritual directors. We are very grateful for your generosity.
